This new full-time post is available from 1st September 2010 on a permanent basis.

The University seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Translation to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Translation Studies, and in appropriate language programmes within the Department of Modern Languages. The person appointed will have expertise in translation theory and/or professional translation practice. A record of research-led teaching experience in one of the above-named languages is essential, as are research publications and funding applications relevant to career stage. Experience that indicates the potential to supervise postgraduate research students would be an advantage.

The starting salary will be £31,671 on Grade F depending on qualifications and experience.
